The dual-temperature specialist swim-spa. Two sealed zones inside one shell: a swim end you can hold at 28 °C for laps, and a hot tub end you can hold at 38 °C for a soak — at the same time, with different people in. Each zone has its own Balboa heater and controller; a sealed internal bulkhead keeps the water separate. 25 HP total across five 5 HP pumps — but the swim zone is served by three of them (15 HP)

SWIM END · XSPORT CURRENT
An open swim lane at the far end of the shell, fed by a bank of XSport controllable-resistance current jets driven by three 5 HP pumps (15 HP in the swim zone). Tunes from a gentle float-and-kick up to a training-pace wall you work against on a tether. Aqua-aerobics, rehab intervals, resistance running, cold-start laps — the use case of a lap pool, sized for a back garden and open twelve months a year. Runs at 28 °C by default; set your own.
HOT TUB END · 6 ERGONOMIC SEATS
Six ergonomic seats in the hot tub end, fed by hurricane hydromassage jets driven by two 5 HP pumps (10 HP in the hot tub zone). The seats target upper back, shoulders, lower back, hips, calves and soles; every seat has air venturi valves to tune jet pressure from a gentle breeze to a deep-tissue pulse. Runs at 38 °C by default, independent of the swim zone.
NO-FLOAT LOUNGER
A full-length no-float lounger in the hot tub end lets you stretch out flat with jets running down the spine, glutes, calves and into the soles of the feet. The no-float shaping holds you in place — no subtle drift out of the jet zone mid-soak.
The St Lawrence 20 ships in a single specification — white acrylic shell with understated marbling, dark brown maintenance-free composite cabinet, brown two-piece hardtop cover. Same shell finish as our Niagara flagship, scaled to 20 ft. The cover splits into two velcroed halves so one person can lift it off the swim end or the hot tub end independently.
White marbled shell · brown cabinet & cover.
White acrylic with understated marbling hides calcium waterline so you're not wiping the spa down every week. The dark brown maintenance-free composite cabinet is colour-matched to the cover and sits naturally alongside rattan garden furniture — same finish as our Niagara flagship, scaled to 20 ft. No annual re-stain. No UV fade.
Two-piece cover, one-person lift.
The hardtop cover ships as two halves that velcro together in the middle. You can lift off just the swim end for a training session, or just the hot tub end for a soak, without wrestling a single 6-metre slab of foam. Add 2 × top-mount cover lifters (one per half) and the whole operation becomes one-handed. The lifters mount to the cabinet, swing up and over.
The cover earns its keep.
At 7,300 L spread across two temperature zones, heat retention is the single biggest running-cost lever on a swim spa. The tapered insulating hardtop — closed-cell foam core, locking straps across both halves — traps the heat the Balboa heaters have just put in. On a 20 ft shell, the cover is not an accessory. It's core kit.
Ambient lighting washes both zones.
Perimeter multi-colour LED mood lighting runs the full length of the shell — swim end and hot tub end. On a dark British evening, the LEDs carry colour across the water and illuminate both zones from the waterline. The two cascading waterfalls carry light too, so the spa looks good from inside the kitchen window, not just when you're in it.
DUAL ZONES
Two independent temperature zones in a single shell, divided by a sealed internal bulkhead and driven by two 3 kW Balboa heaters. Swim side typically runs 28 °C; hot tub side 38 °C. Each zone has its own Balboa controller — set, forget, walk between them.
SWIM PERFORMANCE
XSport swim-jet system tunes the current from a gentle float-and-kick right up to a training-pace wall. Swim against it on a tether, run aqua-aerobics intervals, or lower the resistance for rehab work — the full use-case spectrum of a lap pool in a 594 × 228 cm footprint.
HYDROMASSAGE
73 jets across the two zones, driven by five 5 HP pumps: three feed the swim end (15 HP), two feed the hot tub end (10 HP). Six ergonomic seats in the hot tub end, targeting upper back, shoulders, hips, calves and soles. Air venturi valves let you tune the pressure at each seat. For pure swim performance the flagship is the shorter St Lawrence 16, which routes all 19 HP (the Balboa ceiling) into a single swim end — 4 HP more than the 20 can channel into swim.
SANITATION
The Mountain Pure™ sanitation system combines a UV-C lamp with a built-in ozone generator: the UV-C disrupts bacteria and viruses at cell level as water passes the lamp, while ozone oxidises organics before they reach the filter. Paired with a 200 ft² antimicrobial filter set — 7,300 L across two zones needs roughly twice the filter surface of a standard hot tub.
INSULATION
High-density closed-cell foam wraps the shell and plumbing; an infrared-lined cabinet reflects radiant heat back into the water instead of bleeding it to the air. Designed to hold swim temperature and soak temperature — in two different zones — through a British winter.
CONTROLS
A Balboa digital control pad on each zone adjusts pumps, jets, temperature and lighting with a single touch. Balboa is the control system trusted across the global spa industry for decades — industry-standard parts availability a decade out, not a proprietary black box.
LIGHTING & AUDIO
Perimeter multi-colour LED mood lighting washes both zones at night. Two slow-rise pop-up Bluetooth speakers pair with any phone, plus an aromatherapy canister and two cascading waterfalls — the same ambient package as our acrylic hot tub range, scaled to swim-spa length.
ELECTRICAL
The St Lawrence 20 is hardwired, not plug-and-play: a 50 A supply for the swim zone + 32 A supply for the hot tub zone, both fitted by a qualified electrician before delivery day. No 13 A socket shortcut — five 5 HP pumps and two 3 kW heaters draw more current than a domestic ring can carry.
Space Requirements:
The St Lawrence 20 is 594 × 228 cm — roughly a 20 ft × 7.5 ft footprint. You need that space, plus clearance for HIAB access, plus a 6″ reinforced concrete pad (or equivalent-strength patio) underneath.
Optional Extras
- 2 × cover lifters · chemical starter kit · +2 yr extended warranty (£1,200)
