Osmio Fusion Carbon Block - The carbon block inside this filter is NOT RECYLABLE. It must be taken out by first sawing off the very end of the filter. It can then be pulled out or you can use pliers to help. Please do not attempt this if you have any problems using a saw. The carbon can be composted or broken up and scattered onto soil. Crush it up and mix it into compost or soil - it also works very well in pot plants. It will increase soil aeration and water retention. Or you could put it in the bin where it might do some good in the landfill.\u003cbr\u003eOsmio Fusion RO Membrane - put straight in plastic recycling\u003cbr\u003eOsmio Fusion Post FIlter - this too has to be sawn off to remove the balls inside which are not recyclable but can be processed the same way as the carbon filter and the remaining plastics into recycling.\u003cbr\u003eThe plastic components of those filters can be put into the plastic recycling bin. You would need to take care if you are cutting open the filters, otherwise, you can just be put in the general waste.
